At Level 2, we expand a bit beyond our personal healing work and start working with other people. This is where the work we have done with energetic boundaries becomes SO important! Self and other and the nature of non-duality is a major focus in level 2. Oftentimes, the people who are drawn to work with us will mirror the healing we have been doing or are doing with ourselves. Managing projections while holding a safe space is imperative.

Our Level 2 curriculum includes:

Level 2 Initiation (symbols 1, 2, and 3)

Energetic Boundaries

Tablework (traditional hand placements and intuitive scanning)

Mental/Emotional Treatment (a treatment that can be done both with self and other to work with habits, addictions, limiting beliefs, qualities we wish to embody)

Connecting to our heart and working with the distance symbol (there is NO time or space)

facilitating distance sessions

Honestly, the whole purpose of taking a Reiki class is to make your life easier and more joyful. Seriously, that’s it. It allows for space to see how you are interacting with the world around you and how even the tiniest shifts can COMPLETELY change your experience.
Reiki is the stillness we are all looking for and it just makes it easier to do the things we KNOW will help soothe our anxiety, but sometimes just aren’t able to do because everything is moving so freaking quickly.

Our classes are taught a little bit differently because there are two teachers. All classes are taught by Karen and Fred OR by a teacher who has been trained by them in their particular style.

Fred Morel - Fred has been studying Reiki for thirteen years and her original training was done by a Martial Arts instructor and Manual Osteopath who put practice before anything else. She has since studied with many teachers, including Frans Stiene. Suffice to say, Fred's jam is Japanese Reiki. Her knowledge of the system is profound and she keeps learning and practicing Reiki for her self development every day to bring more laughter into her life.

Karen McCullough - Karen has been practicing Reiki for 22 years. In addition to studying Reiki, she took the three year Integrative Energy Healing program offered by Langara College. She works with a variety of energetic systems including the meridian system, the chakra system, and, of course, the physiological body. First and foremost, she believes that the purpose of energy healing is to empower the recipient and support them in leading joyful lives.

Fred and Karen have married their two perspectives to create a truly unique experience. They also want to be very clear about what actually comes from the traditional Reiki system and what has been added over the years through interpretation.

The word Reiki is Japanese – directly translated, it means “spiritual energy”. It can be compared to the words prana (Sanskrit) and chi (Chinese). Basically, Reiki is the energy that animates the universe. It is benevolent and expansive and it is within each one of us.
Honestly, it is not possible to teach “Reiki”, the energy, per se, rather we learn the System of Reiki, and, the system of Reiki contains the power to transform your life. When we practice Reiki, we strip away the layers and layers of muck that are concealing our true brilliance and purpose. This muck may manifest in feelings of unworthiness, anxiety, hopelessness, sadness or in physical symptoms like headaches, muscle pain, stomach troubles…the list goes on. The reality is that we are being hidden and not living the lives we had always dreamed.
Anybody can practice Reiki - absolutely anybody.
This is not a system for those with a “gift”.
We are all gifted.
We are all Reiki.

Review of personal Reiki practice and level one material
Introduction and initiation to Usui Reiki symbols (mental/emotional, distance, focus)
Emotional/mental healing using symbols
Reiki distance healing method and practice
Advanced Japanese Reiki methods and practice
Practical uses of Reiki (relationships, habits, beliefs, limiting beliefs)
The curriculum is fluid and is tailored to meet the needs of each class

Reiki Level 3, Master Practitioner, is not the goal or end of the spiritual path, but rather the beginning. You will now have all the tools needed to explore and deepen your connection to the Reiki Source and build yourself as a capable and confident practitioner.

It is our goal at the Westcoast Reiki Centre to provide you with support and continuing education opportunities, so that you feel supported by a community of like minded individuals who strive to build a practice based on the highest professional standards, integrity and kindness. Our Online Reiki Teacher Training is quickly approaching , is it time to take step into this freaking beautiful piece of your Reiki journey? We hope so!

Why become a Reiki Master-Teacher? In our opinion, to be able to perform Reiki initiations is one of Reiki’s greatest gifts that we can offer. A Reiki initiation – at any level – opens the recipient to a whole new state of connectedness and oneness with Source energy. Once initiated, the potential for self-healing and ability to support healing in others is a true blessing. The question then becomes not so much why, as, why not?

In addition to discussing what it means to be a Reiki Master-Teacher, this training will include how to successfully and confidently perform Reiki attunements/initiations; how to create a strong energetic class container and hold space for your students; how to structure and teach your classes; how to instruct students in table and chair work; how to lead Reiki meditations; the ethics of Reiki, and more. You will also receive two additional symbols that are used in the initiation process and learn how to perform the special breath technique used for the initiations. There will be plenty of time for practicing the initiations as well as time for integrating your experiences. Upon completion you will be able to offer courses in all levels of Reiki as a Reiki Master Teacher.

Pre-requisites for this course:

Third Degree Reiki Part A, memorization of all 4 Usui Reiki symbols and a sincere commitment to be in service to your own personal growth. Upon registering for this class you will be sent an exercise to complete prior to final acceptance into the class. If you have not taken your previous Reiki Degrees at the Westcoast Reiki Centre we may ask that you submit a copy of your certificates.
